My name is Amaya Gray and I’m a fourth-year Design and Production Theatre Major. I first got involved with theatre in my freshman year of high school. After designing audio for my first show, I fell in love. I gravitated towards the design aspect of theatre and loved the idea of creating new worlds, even with old stories. As I moved through my high school experience, I worked several plays, responsible for different roles. The challenge of designing and building, the rush of working backstage, and the utter satisfaction and joy of the curtain closing on a successful run was enough to hook me for life.

I first visited Fullerton to participate in the Fullerton College Tech Olympics. Once again, that experience was enough to sell me. I enrolled in 2021 and transferred to CSUF in the Fall of 2023. I’m working towards a teaching credential so that I can pay it forward by helping young minds explore the many possibilities that Theatre has to offer. I am incredibly grateful for my experiences and the passion I have found through this field, and I’m excited to see where it leads me in life! Below is an outline of my past experiences…
